Perry Memorial Fund
We were all very sad to hear of the devastating plane crash that took 6 people’s lives including one of our students Luke Perry, his two siblings, and father. We have set up a fund, The Perry Memorial Fund, to directly support Karen Perry. You can donate by sending us a check written to the Perry Memorial Fund or by going into any Wells Fargo and ask to give money to the fund.

Southpaw Comes to MIS
Will Ohman, a lefty relief pitcher for the Chicago White Sox and one of our parents, came to speak to our elementary classes earlier this week. The children had plenty of questions as he told us all about being an athlete in a professional sport. In addition, he shared his mantra for success: A.C.E. - Attitude, Concentration, and Effort. Will was also generous enough to sign autographs for...

MIS alumnus in the news
One of our alumni, John Kestner, has made national news. He developed what he calls Proverbial Wallets to restore the physical sense of how much money we have, to our credit cards and automatic payments. These prototypes talk to your bank and buzz with each transaction, get harder to open as you approach your budget, or shrink and swell with your overall assets—all to give you better awareness...

There were some great questions and suggestions shared as well. In case you missed the email newsletter, here’s what our primary students did last month.
